the ever faithful cotton guard was something of a staple now in wooloo's performance. how could it not be with how well it was serving kazimir really, they were on a roll after all. they had proved that their defenses were one of the best around the whole event after all, so there was no way that either of them could lose at all. y'know unless lady luck decided to really screw them over.

Normally Razz had two others who could take on this event, but with Nylon he would have to do more work, and Russet had just done this. So Salem decided to take this round. Same as all the other rounds Salem used his PSYCH UP to pump himself up, this time in defense after watching the sheep pokemon. Razz gave his team a small nod in hello while Salem pumpped his fist and tried to be inspiring with a "go go!' with cat speak as the starting bell rung.

the furfrou fluffs itself up with cotton guard. the extra armor would definitely help for this course, or at least kyle hopes it to be.

Contrary to the speed challenge, this time Balder brought the delicate Swablu onto the field. But how could such a frail bird serve its purpose in a wipeout challenge? Simple. "Cotton Guard." Upon the order of his trainer, the Swablu's fluffyness got enhanced, allowing the man to bounce off the bulked up bird every time he could start deviating from the course.[BREAK][BREAK]

"ain't nothing going to hurt us now! let's go wooloo and use cotton guard again! we're gonna block every single one of them!" raising his little sheep buddy to the sky the wooloo's coat fluffed up to twice its size now as small plunger arrows embedded themselves into the large fluff ball. an easy obstacle to over come that was nothing compared to what they had already faced before, so now all they had to do was run. run and make sure that they didn't get knocked off course and mke sure they come out unscathed, of course that was always easier said than done.

"Once more," Razz ordered Salem, not that he needed it as he was a seasoned veteran now when it came to these as he copied the defensive power house that was the sheep from Mr. blond man that they shared the event with so many times. The pair of them went close to the first part of the course with the pendulum being first. This time around just using their speed to avoid them rather than making the quick defense, personally finding it easier.

the furfrou's coat just kept getting thicker as they ran through the course. another cotton guard finishes the prep for the entire thing, readying them for the obstacles to come.

he lets his furfrou match his pace, ready to use him as a shield if something tries to push them off the edge.

Seems like everyone had the same idea, except for the man named Razz. He was using the good old Psych Up stratagem. A sure-fire move in this endeavor, to be sure. But in this sport challenge, psyching up wasn't going to cut it. They needed to believe! they needed to... COTTON! GUARD!! With its fluffyness to the extreme, Swablu continued to push forward, assisting Balder in the obstacles.[BREAK][BREAK]

the wooloo charged forward as the vanguard for kazimir to follow. its wool keeping it safe from feeling any pain as the swinging dummies missed all of their hits due to the sheep being smaller than the height they were meant to hit. that meant that the wooloo was free to literally run through them while kazimir was busy blocking their attacks. sometimes it wasn't easy having good musculature as he did as it meant that he was a bigger target and had to be more careful. "curse my muscles!" he yelled as he tried his best to just limbo out of there as quickly as possible.

One part down another to go, he paused lightly taking in the new obstacle of swinging dummies? That was different from last time but it didn't deter Salem from going forward. Having once more used PSYCH UP to buff up completely he blocked one of the dummies from hitting Razz from the right knowing full well their trainer would've missed it otherwise. He felt invincible like this and couldn't wait to keep going.

kyle remains his footing through the obstacle course by anchoring to his furfrou, who already was an immovable object thanks to his armor.

kyle gets too lazy to weave through all the obstacles that he just face tanks everything that attempts to push them off. it's not pleasant, but it requires less thinking at least.

"Everyone okay so far? We're getting close to the end!" was the only thing Balder could shout as he evaded one of the obstacles that almost knocked him out. Swablu's support was really appreciated, as the fluffy shell around the bird served as a really good support to keep the movement going. The Swablue, to try and support his trainer better, decided to use Dragon Pulse to push some obstacles.[BREAK][BREAK]

a buck to the oncoming pendulum was just what the wooloo needed to get past the first round of them and he continued his charge by curling into a ball and rolling around the path turning left and right to try and dodge the ones that did come right at him. it was a curious strategy that kaz was unsure that it was really necessary. after all this was a defense course, he just had to worry about getting beaten off the path and as long as he had good defense that was no problem. there was no need to actually avoid everything...oh well, it was still working and that's all that mattered.

Now was balls that were being thrown at them, Razz motioned for Salem to come up top him before the ranger went though. With the PSYCHIC the blue cat was able to easily block the balls, grabbing a few for himself and using them as an easy barrier as the two of the passed the section with ease. Who said the Psychic pokemon couldn't be useful here. "Meow row!" Salem perked up at the question to inform the other man that him and his trainer were doing well.

just a little bit more...

kyle pushes through the course, hastening his pace if only because he can almost see the finish line. body language easily tells the furfrou the plan, who shifts his pace accordingly to his trainer.

only a few more seconds of enduring the trail was left. kyle saves his sigh of relief for when they reach the end.
